beth's profile
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Beth was raised in a family that had designed and shared quilts/quilt history through several generations. Her paternal grandmother was a Master Quiltmaker from Louisville, Kentucky and Beth learned much of what she shares with others from grandmother, Edna Sumners Hord. Beth has been quilting since 1972 and has a strong commitment to the promotion of quiltmaking as an Art form for women in the 21st century. Having moved to Canada in 1985, Beth has been active in local and national quilting organizations, serving as a Board member and local quilt educator in Southern Ontario and with the CQA/ACC.
